Birthday celebrations in Manchester
Our flagship 60 bedroom House in Manchester opened in May 2012 and over the last year has provided free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to more than 800 families who have children receiving treatment at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. To celebrate the first year of this special House, families and guests were treated to a delightful line-up of fun activities including a balloon race, face painting and arts and crafts. Thank you to everyone that attended and to the wonderful volunteers.

London Marathon stars
Every year we are in awe of the amazing runners that complete the Virgin London Marathon. This year we cheered 17 of our supporters who raised a total of £25,000 for our Charity. What an amazing achievement! This will go a long way in helping families with children in hospital, as well as inspiring other supporters to take on this incredibly rewarding challenge. Thank you!

Volunteers help with Tooting spring clean
Fifteen volunteers from the McDonald’s UK Head Office visited our Tooting House in London to lend a helping hand with our spring deep clean! The families staying in the House came back from the ward to find everything squeaky clean and smelling fresh which was very comforting given the difficult time they’re going through while their children are in hospital. Thank you to our volunteers. Here are some photos from the day!
