Build-A-Bear Workshop® supported RMHC in this year’s Stuffed With Hugs™ programme.
Each year, Build-A-Bear Workshop, the only global retailer that offers children of all ages an
interactive make-your-own stuffed animal retail-entertainment experience, works with a
charity to help children. This years campaign called Stuffed With Hugs™: Hugs Away From
Home, Build-A-Bear Workshop invited guests from all across the country to visit any of its
stores on Saturday 20 May 2006, and make a special bear free of charge. This particular bear
cannot be purchased in the stores. But rather is a special bear that is designed every year
for the sole purpose of allowing people to give something back to their communities. All in
all, more than 50,000 bears were made and then donated to RMHC worldwide. This is the
sixth year of the Build-A-Bear Workshop Stuffed With Hugs™ programme.
Over 2,000 bears were made on Saturday for RMHC UK and each bear will be donated to the families and children staying at a Ronald McDonald House or Family Rooms across the UK so thank you!
