Payroll giving is the most efficient way to give to charity. It allows you to donate money to charity before you pay tax, so a pledge of £10 only costs you £7.80 of your take home pay if you're a basic rate taxpayer. Some companies will even match contributions made by their employees making the donation go even further.

Your payroll department will help you to make donations to us in this way. They will need to know our charity number, which is 802047 and our address, which is located at the top.

If your company doesn't operate a scheme, there is plenty of information available about setting one up on the Inland Revenue's site and the government is currently providing cash incentives for small to medium businesses to set up payroll giving schemes.
