Charity fun day at Craxton Wood Macdonald Hotel, CH66 9PB

Sunday 23 August 2015, 12 noon to 16.00.

Face painting, a miniature ‘ride-on’ train and an inflatable slide are among the attractions at a charity fun day at Craxton Wood Macdonald Hotel in Chester on Sunday 23 August 2015.

The fun day starts at 12 noon and will raise money for Ronald McDonald House Arrowe Park – the free ‘home away from home’ for families who have children being treated at Arrowe Park Hospital in the Wirral.

There will be music, food and activities for all ages in the hotel’s stunning gardens – with a pavilion on standby in case of wet weather.

Tickets cost £2 per adult and £1 for children aged up to 14 and can be booked through Ronald McDonald House Arrowe Park’s website or purchased on the day.

Notes to editors

1. Ronald McDonald House Arrowe Park is run by Ronald McDonald House Charities - an independent charity that provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation at hospitals across the UK. It enables seriously ill children to have their families close by when they are undergoing treatment and allows them to maintain a degree of normal family life.

There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses in the UK and in 2014 they helped support over 6,000 families with children in hospital.

Ronald McDonald House Charities relies on the generosity of supporters and fundraisers, including McDonald’s customers, without whom it would be unable to continue its work.

The Charity was founded in 1989 and has been keeping families together for more than 25 years.
