Ronald McDonald House Bristol
About this house
The House is run by a locally-based charity, Ronald McDonald House Bristol, who manage the day-to-day running and ongoing costs.
Set in a period building, the House in Bristol was the sixth to be built in the UK and was finished in November 2002. The House has 21 en-suite family bedrooms, two of which have full disabled access, and is situated just minutes away from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. There are three separate kitchens, a dining room, a lounge and a beautiful landscaped garden to enable families to continue life with some degree of normality.
In 2016 the House kept 468 families close to their child in hospital.
About the hospital
Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is the only dedicated children's hospital in the South West and is the regional centre for a wide range of specialist paediatric services.
