Ronald McDonald House Oxford provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children at Oxford Children's Hospital. In 2013, the House helped 677 families stay close to their children in hospital.
The Ronald McDonald House is more than just a place to stay. It offers comfort, support, a safe environment where families can interact, share their experiences and know that they will always have a shoulder to cry on.
To maintain a degree of normality, siblings and extended family can visit and stay at the House too. We offer normality, somewhere families can call home, when the rest of their world is in turmoil.
18 en suite bedrooms
We need to raise £250,000 a year to keep the House open
It costs the Charity £25 to accommodate one family for one night
An average family stay is seven nights
The longest time a family has stayed in our House is 15 months
Oxford Children's Hospital offers many regional and supra-regional specialist services and is the home to one of only four paediatric craniofacial services in the UK with children and their families travelling from as far as Sheffield and Devon.

"Archie underwent two open heart surgeries and spent nearly 60 days on life support. For months his life was in the balance and ours was on hold. We would have slept on the floor just to be near Archie. Instead, we were amazed to find a beautiful room waiting for us at the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you to the most supportive, loving and kind team of staff who had a sixth sense about when to give you a hug or give you space. We can't thank the Oxford team enough and will be forever grateful to them."
Andy Boon, Archie's dad
