Diagnosed at 12 weeks in to the pregnancy we knew that our daughter Emilia would be born with an exomphalos. We were unsure of the severity until birth and couldn't rule out further defects. Emilia was born with exomphalos major, 2 holes in her heart and severe hypoglycemia. She stayed in Manchester Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit (NICU) for 3 weeks and had surgery at 6 days old. We are so proud of how well she has done!! As a family we stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Manchester and this helped us immensely emotionally and physically xx
