Ronald McDonald House Oxford was a home away from home for us when our son Rory had to have surgery at 15 months to remodel his skull due to Craniosynostosis. Being able to have dinner together and bathtime as 'normal' before taking my son down to the ward the night before his operation meant such a lot to us. Our room was a haven that allowed us to rest away from the ward when my husband and I were taking it in shifts to be with Rory during his recovery.
