Ronald McDonald House Tooting provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children at St George's Hospital. In 2013, the House helped 106 families stay close to their children in hospital.
Ronald McDonald House Tooting is more than just a place to stay. It offers comfort, support, a safe environment where families can interact, share their experiences and know that they will always have a shoulder to cry on.
To maintain a degree of normality, siblings and extended family can visit and stay at the House too. We look after over 100 families every year, whose seriously ill children have been rushed to hospital. Many require critical care, or are undergoing major surgery, and some children are receiving ongoing treatment for childhood illnesses.
We offer normality, somewhere families can call home, when the rest of their world is in turmoil.

"We live in Surrey which meant having to travel at least an hour to London to be near Thanisha. Finding out we had a room at Ronald McDonald House Tooting was one of the happiest days in our whole traumatic experience. Everyone in the House was very supportive, very receptive to our needs and we are forever grateful. The other families in the House made us realise we weren’t the only ones going through this, which gave us strength and hope."
Fathima Farwin-Nizam, Thanisha's mum
