Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is the only dedicated children's hospital in the South West and is the regional centre for a wide range of specialist paediatric services. The sixth Ronald McDonald House serving the hospital opened in November 2002. The House has 16 en-suite bedrooms, two of which have disabled access, three kitchens, a dining room, lounge and landscaped garden. A charity called Ronald McDonald House Bristol was set up to manage the day-to-day running and ongoing costs of the House are managed by the charity.
