RMH Guy’s and St Thomas’

About the House

The first Ronald McDonald House in the UK opened in June 1990. Twenty families can be accommodated in comfortable family rooms with the use of self-catering kitchens, sitting rooms, laundry facilities, playroom and a peaceful garden.

In 2013, the House helped 410 families stay close to their children in hospital. Most of the families that stay at the House have children receiving treatment at the Evelina Children’s Hospital.

The Evelina Family Trust, which is a registered charity, manages the day-to-day running of the Ronald McDonald House and meets the ongoing cost of the House.

For more information about the Evelina Family Trust and the House please contact the Chief Executive, Elizabeth Gibson at egibson@ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org.uk.
