About the House
The Ronald McDonald House at Oxford Children’s Hospital is the eleventh Ronald McDonald House to open in the UK, and the first House in the UK to be opened within the hospital building. The House is on the top floor of the new Hospital and offers 18 rooms where parents can get some much needed rest, reassured by the fact that they are literally under the same roof as their ill children.

About the hospital
Oxford Children’s Hospital offers many regional and supra-regional specialist services and is the home to one of only four paediatric craniofacial services in the UK with children and their families travelling from as far as Sheffield and Devon.

Join us as we return to Rome for the 2012 marathon - Sunday 18th March 2012
On 18th March 2012 we will be returning to Rome with a fresh team of runners to take part in the Rome Marathon. The 26.2 mile course attracts around 15,000 runners each year, and the crowds of supporters that line the streets help to make the whole event a real spectacle.
The marathon starts and finishes at the Coliseum, and combines the athletic challenge of a marathon with a unique sightseeing tour of this historic city as it winds through the streets of Rome taking in all the most famous sights.

100ft Abseil raises £12,000 for the House - Sunday 22nd May 2011
Oxford is well known as a picturesque city, and there is no better view than from the highest point of the John Radcliffe Hospital! We were lucky enough to secure a number of places to abseil 100ft down the side of the Women’s Centre at the hospital on Sunday 22nd May 2010.
Families and friends came along to watch and help made the day a huge success. A total of £12,000 were raised for our House!

Our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Day proves a big success - Thursday 26th May 2011
Ronald McDonald House Oxford held its 2011 charity golf tournament on Thursday 26th May at Overstone Park Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort. The day involved bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf, a putting competition and a 2-course dinner followed by an auction.
The event was a big success and £16,500 were raised for the House. Thank you.

2011 Rome Marathon raises a staggering £17,000 - Sunday 20th March 2011
On 20th March 2011 a team of 9 runners from Ronald McDonald House Oxford took part in the Rome Marathon. The 26.2 mile course combined the athletic challenge of a marathon with a unique sightseeing tour of this historic city as it wound through the streets of Rome taking in all the most famous sights.
Through the hard work and support of our runners the marathon was a great success and we raised £17,000 for Ronald McDonald House Oxford.
