Ronald McDonald House Charities has been McDonald's charity of choice since the Charity was founded in the UK in 1989. In continuing what is widely accepted as being one of the largest and most enduring corporate/charity partnerships in history McDonald's helps us to give families across the UK hope and respite during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
The biggest gift that McDonald's and their franchisees have ever given us is the opportunity to place our collection boxes in their restaurants across the UK. These boxes provided Ronald McDonald House Charities with over £3.2 million in 2014. This money is used exclusively by Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, and is primarily used to build new Houses.
McDonald's and its restaurant owners’ kindness stretches far beyond this one act though; in 2014 McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd and its restaurant owners donated just over £1 million from sales to Ronald McDonald House Charities. In addition McDonald’s offers important organisational support by providing office space, general and administrative support, payroll and HR support and IT and computer systems, both at McDonald’s headquarters and its network of offices across the UK.
McDonald's continue to be an essential, valuable and sustaining partner.
