Sue’s role is to help manage the day to day running of the House and to ensure a homely and supportive atmosphere in keeping with the “home from home” concept. She is also responsible for recruiting and training Relief Manager Volunteers who provide overnight and weekend cover in the House. As well as working with the House team, she also liaises with external groups, who often visit to kindly cook meals for families staying or carry out spring cleans.
Sue joined the House in January 1995 and can relate to what the families go through, as her own daughter had heart surgery in Guy's Hospital as a baby. Sue felt she could help others in some form, who are going through a similar situation.
