RMHC accomodation

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is an independent registered charity supporting families with children in hospital. The charity was established in the UK in 1989 and provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for the families of children requiring in-patient care in hospitals and hospices. Ronald McDonald House Charities main focus is establishing Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at hospitals throughout the UK. In addition to providing bedrooms and communal living areas, a Ronald McDonald House and Family Room provides valuable support for the families and enables them to rest in private or enjoy the company of other families. There are currently 12 Ronald McDonald Houses and 29 sets of Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in the UK providing over 300 bedrooms a night for families to stay in.

RMHC UK has seven members of staff working at their head office in North London and is governed by an independent board of trustees.                      


Jon Haward Jon Haward -  RMHC Director

Jon is the Director of RMHC and heads the staff team and joined the charity in April 2007. Jon is responsible for the overall management and direction of RMHC and aims to improve the success and profile of the charity both nationally and globally.


Anne Roberts Anne Roberts - Head of Operations and Project Development

Anne is the charity's Head of Operations and Project Development and is responsible for the running of existing Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms and establishing and building new Ronald McDonald Houses. Anne also works closely with National Health Trusts across the UK to identify new sites for accommodation projects.


Tony Morton Tony Morton - Head of Fundraising (Income)

Tony is the charity's Head of Fundraising (Income); focusing solely on the charities fundraising relationship with McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd.


Jo Hodges Jo Hodges- Head of Fundraising (Capital)

Jo Hodges who joins RMHC after working as Head of Fundraising at Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been appointed as the Head of Fundraising for Capital and will be developing new external relationships and partnerships to raise vital funds for RMHC.


Emma Cairns Emma Cairns - Operations and Project Development Assistant

Emma assists Anne Roberts on all aspects of the operations and manages the links with all the individual accommodation projects around the country. Emma also works on the development of new and existing Ronald McDonald Houses and works closely with National Health Trusts across the UK to identify new sites for accommodation projects.


Sian Hanson Siân Hanson - Fundraising Support Co–ordinator

Siân is the charity's Fundraising Support Co-ordinator. She is the first point of contact for all enquiries and donations both internally and externally and helps co–ordinate our fundraising events. She also liaises with McDonalds Restaurants ensuring they have all the necessary fundraising equipment.


Belinda Whitehead Belinda Whitehead - Marketing and Communications Officer

Belinda is the first point of contact for all media enquiries. She works with the RMHC staff and trustees to develop effective marketing materials that promote the charity and its objectives in the public forum.


Anna Cohen Anna Cohen - Regional Fundraiser, RMH Manchester

Anna Cohen joined the Charity in February as the new Regional Fundraiser for the 60-bedroom Ronald McDonald House that is scheduled to open in Manchester in 2010. She joins us from Marie Curie Cancer Care, where she spent three years working as a Community Fundraiser. She is based in the Charity's Salford office.
