Challenge Events Officer

LOCATION: Sutton Coldfield - West Midlands or Central London

HOURS: Full-time hours are 35 per week. Applications will be considered for 4 days (28 hours)

REPORTS TO: Senior Individual Giving & Challenge Events Fundraiser

SALARY: £20 - £23K dependent on experience

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide support to the Challenge Events Team and assist the Senior Challenge Events Manager with the recruitment of challenge event participants, promoting challenge events and delivering excellent supporter care, as well as taking the lead on small projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Managing unsolicited incoming enquiries via telephone, and email via the events inboxes
- Managing challenge event registrations and delivering supporter stewardship journeys to third party challenge event audiences including good luck and thank you emails
- Building excellent professional relationships with supporters, offering advice and support to ensure fundraising targets are met
- Ensuring all appropriate materials are delivered to event sites as required

Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience of delivering excellent supporter/customer care
- Experience of building good external relationships in a supporter/customer care environment
- Experience of working constructively and collaboratively with colleagues from different teams
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends to support events as required – time off in lieu will be given
- Experience of suggesting and taking the initiative about new ways of working that have been successfully implemented
