Inspiring fundraiser takes on Everest
Inspiring fundraiser Anthony chose to support the Charity after his adored cousin Bryoni and her parents Kim and Trevor stayed at our Camberwell House since her birth at Kings College Hospital last year.
Anthony, an amateur actor who works in the West End theatre world as a dresser decided to take on the adventure to the base camp of Everest. Using the challenge as a platform to fundraise has been more successful than he could ever have imagined, and Kim and the whole family are enormously proud of him.
Bryoni, the most delightful little 13 month old with a sunshine smile, was born with Spina bifida last year and underwent shunt surgery when she was just seven days old to resolve problems caused by hydrocephalus. Bryoni struggles with other health related issues as well, however this is not obvious when you meet this little lady and indulge in a game or ‘round and round the garden’ to her delighted squeals.
Bryoni’s parents, friends and family are no strangers to supporting the Camberwell House, having recently organised a fundraising dinner, and the family has raised over £1,880 to date. Anthony originally set his fundraising goal at £900 but has far exceeded this, with the fundraising total now standing at an amazing £2,000, and counting!
This lovely family’s hard work goes a long way in ensuring that other families in a similar situation will benefit from the same invaluable help and support from the Camberwell House.
We can’t thank them enough for their fantastic fundraising efforts!
